This is a two collector solar water heating system from Thermo-dynamics. The collectors are tilted up so they capture more winter sun and the snow will fall off them more readily.
This is the tubing coming out of the bottom of a chimmney. This tubing must be installed between the solar boiler module and the collectors on the roof. The red wire connects the sensor and solar module which powers the pump.
This is the mixing valve and bypass valve assembly. When the valve handles are in the vertical position, the system is operating normally. If there is a problem with the tank the valve handles can be placed in the horizontal position and the solar water heating system will be bypassed.
This is the solar boiler kit installed. The red box houses the propylene glycol reservoir and heat exchanger. The pump, pump controller and pressure gauge are on top.
